Dog Monitor App Reviews

When I realized the developer had given a baby monitor app a doggie makeover, I understood why I cant leave for the day to go shopping (as shown on the promo video) without losing the connection every few minutes -- a baby monitor doesnt need such a range. I bought this app as part of a program to reduce my dogs separation anxiety, and to monitor their behaviour when I leave so their barking doesnt disturb my neighbours. As long as I stay in my building, I have a constant audio stream and the ability to get still photos (if not always video stream). However, I do want to leave the building -- to go to work, to go grocery shopping, etc -- and this product doesnt maintain a strong enough connection between home and mobile stations to allow me to monitor my dogs without a fair bit of hassle.

The app appears to work just fine if you are monitoring your dog in another room of your house for some reason. However, the app information page failed to mention that you have to be on the same wifi connection as the camera device to use the live video. If you are on a different wifi connection you can only take still images.

I wish it was a live recording when you leave your wifi connection just so I can catch my dog when he acts out in his kennel. Also I wish the voice was on the same screen as the video screen so I can see if my dog reacted to my voice. Instead of switching between the screens. Other than that its a neat app.

Needs to come with a lot more info,, i think a baby monitor would work better

Only thing I wish is that we could decide if sound comes on automatically when there is noise. I wish we could choose to just have it vibrate. Then you dont have your phone barking nine middle of class!

I wanted a way to check in on my 7 month old boxer who we have just started to let loose when we are out. I love the option to speak to her. Her expressions when she hears me through the iPad makes me laugh every time. Awesome app. Cheaper then buying cameras! Recommended to all my boxer groups.

Love this app. Why pay hundreds of dollars for cameras when you can use you iPad and phone for free? And because you can pair it with more then one device you can have multiple views. Really happy with this app. Now I can check in on my cats through out the day. Thanks for making this an affordable option!

I really enjoy this App. The video lags a bit but for the price that is fine with me. You do however have to download this app on your computer and phone, but still better than a 200 + webcam. I can see what my puppy is up to during the day and calm her down using the voice option.

We used this app for our puppy for the first month we had him. Worked like a charm and I used it to determine when to sneak home to let him out during the work day. Since the update, the app wont connect to the dog station if Im more than a block from home.

This app is absolutely amazing! Anyone that has a dog needs this app. I tell everyone about it, I love sitting at work and checking in on my dogs.

This app is great. Allows me to monitor my sick dog and talk to her. When she barks, I can tell her to stop. Only complaint is that it is laggy/slow. Sometimes it freezes. Also, if quality of the live stream is better that would be great.

Got this app for when I would go to work and leave my puppy alone. This app is amazing. I can check on her any time al day long and hear her too. I know shes safe cause I can see why shes doing. I can speak to her too if needed. Great app worth the money to buy. I leave my iPad at home and watch from my phone while Im out. It doesnt need to be on the same wifi connection.

Love it. Really like the feature that allows you to playback audio clips of your dog barking. And having a timeline of noisy events is great. I have recommended this app to friends already.

I dont have to spends hundreds on a camera when I have old iPhone to use it as a camera to monitor my dog while I am away!

I can see my dog virtually anywhere with live video and audio. Video is just good enough so you can see whats going on without using up all of your data. Highly recommend.

There seems to be a bug with the current version. When my phone is on silent, the "dog is noisy" notifications play the sound the dog is making loud and clear, but when the phone is on ring, it just vibrates. Seems to be backwards and is extremely disruptive when my phone is on silent mode. The contact form on your website is also not working so I couldnt send this feedback there.

I was worried my 2 dogs were barking when i wasnt at home. I was about to buy a $200 webcam when i came across this app. For under $10 i can watch them whenever i want! Its great. Tip: turn off data as it will use up a lot, try to use only on wifi.

This app is excellent! I use it with my pet rabbit. It is nice to be able to check in on him during the day :)

This is really amazing. Thank you sooo much for making this. Just adopted a kitty and shes traumatized and hiding under my couch and this will help me watch her while Im at work. I love technology!! I am truly thankful.Hazel mother.

This has been a life saver with our new puppy. Im not even on wifi and I can still do video streaming. Just awesome!
